Writers John Harwood and Jerry Seib pre-taped an interview with Russert this morning for this weekend's episode of the "Tim Russert Show." After the interview Seib commented, "I don't think Tim felt very well."

We've asked NBC whether they plan to air this show, and who will step in on "Meet the Press" -- we haven't heard back.

Big Daddy - Sandler To Return To Stand Up Roots

BIG DADDY star ADAM SANDLER has been inspired to go back to his roots as a stand-up comic after signing up to star in a new movie about comedians.

The actor plays a comedian in the currently untitled Judd Apatow-directed movie, which is due for release next year (09).

And Sandler - who started out on the comedy club circuit - insists he needs to get back to performing in front of live audiences before shooting stars later this year (08).

He tells MTV.com, "Man, I gotta write an act again. It's been a long time. I haven't done stand-up in, like, 10 years. Even more. So yeah, I gotta get to work this summer and start doing that again.

"That's why I want to kill Judd Apatow right now. I was so much happier doing nothing.

"Stuff like that (stand-up shows) will happen. You will see me bomb for about 15 minutes straight, then walk off and punch Judd."

R. Kelly Trial Rocked by Hamburger Drama

As the world awaits word of a verdict, there's yet more ridiculous drama in R. Kelly's gravely serious child-pornography trial as one sequestered juror had to be reprimanded by the judge following an outburst in a restaurant last night. "I've been waiting for fucking half an hour — how long do I have to wait?" the man told a waiter, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. "All I want is a couple of beers and a hamburger." He then hit the table with a bottle and told an attendant deputy, "You guys have been monitoring me all day so you know I'm not drunk." This morning, called before Judge Gaughan, the juror was laughing and said he'd been feeling claustrophobic at the time of his tantrum. "Why are you laughing," Gaughan asked. "Do you have a mental problem?" Apparently he did not, so he went back to deliberating. Additionally, another juror — a student at a culinary school — has asked to be excused, though it is not yet known if his request was hamburger-motivated.

This is not the first time Kelly's legal problems have included hamburgers; a 2005 lawsuit filed by tour partner Jay-Z alleged that Kelly had, without explanation, left a St. Louis concert early to serve drive-through customers at an area McDonald's.

Fan pays €25,500 for Johansson date

A bidder on auction website eBay has paid $40,100 (€25,500) for a date with Scarlett Johansson.
The actress auctioned off a chance to be her guest at the premiere of her new film, 'He's Just Not That Into You', in aid of Oxfam.
Bidding for the date began at less than $1, but climbed to over $40,000 in just 10 days.
The winner, who is from the UK, will be brought to the event in a chauffeur-driven limousine to join the star on the red carpet. He or she can also bring a guest with them. After the screening, Johansson will hand her date a personal handwritten note.
However, it is unlikely any further romance will develop as the 23-year-old star is currently dating actor Ryan Reynolds.

Forensics Testify At Kellys Trial

LATEST: R. KELLY's child pornography trial has heard that a fingernail-sized mark seen on the lower back of the man in the sex tape was not a mole, but video distortion.

The troubled R+B star stands accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

The Bump N' Grind hitmaker's defence team recently told a Chicago, Illinois court that the person in the explicit video could not be their client, because the two men bore key physical differences - most noticeably a dark fingernail-sized mole on the star's back.

The jury has heard testimony from the prosecutions forensic expert, who matched a mole on the singer's back to that of the man in the sex tape.

But on Thursday (05June08), defence witness and video analysis expert Charles Palm claims the black mark appears - and disappears - because the video has been duplicated so many times.

He says, "I see a black mark but it doesn't appear to be a mole."

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to all 14 counts of child pornography. The trial continues.
